Who can apply for a Travel Wish?
Adults (18+) facing late-stage cancer can apply. Special priority will be given to applicants with Stage 4 cancers and/or hospice patients.
What types of trips?
Each applicant may receive one Travel Wish through the Enriched Escapes Foundation. We understand that travel can bring immense comfort, joy, and connection during difficult times, which is why we aim to help as many individuals as possible.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible.
What is considered late-stage cancer?
This is a general description of cancer that has grown and spread beyond where it started, such as to the lymph nodes or other parts of the body. It is often called advanced or metastatic cancer. Applicants must have this type of diagnosis to be eligible for a Travel Wish. Priority will be given to Stage 4 Applicants. Stages 3 and 4 can both be described as late-stage or advanced cancers.
What is a Travel Wish?
It is a meaningful trip or experience granted to an adult facing late-stage cancer, designed to provide cherished time with loved ones away from the weight of illness. Through the Enriched Escapes Foundation, Travel Wishes remove financial and logistical barriers so families can share connection, joy, and lasting memories when it matters most.
How many Travel Wishes can an applicant receive?
We offer travel experiences within the United States only.
When can I apply for a Travel Wish?
We expect to open our Travel Wish application process in March 2026. The Foundation is currently in its fundraising and setup phase, building the financial resources, partnerships, and operational infrastructure needed to responsibly and sustainably grant wishes.
During our first year, the number of Travel Wishes we can grant will depend on:
Funds raised through donations and sponsorships
In-kind contributions such as hotel nights, flights, and experiences
Team bandwidth, as we thoughtfully launch and refine our processes
Our goal is to ensure that every Travel Wish we grant is planned with care, dignity, and the personalized support each recipient deserves. We appreciate your patience as we build a strong foundation for this meaningful work.
