December marked a powerful and deeply meaningful milestone for the Enriched Escapes Foundation. With hearts full of gratitude, we’re honored to share that our Founding Donors Campaign raised $8,943.90, a remarkable first step made possible by an incredibly compassionate community who believes in the healing power of meaningful travel.
These initial funds are already being thoughtfully stewarded toward impact. Our goal is to grant two Travel Wishes with this first round of support.
Why These Travel Wishes Matter
A Travel Wish is so much more than a trip. For adults facing late-stage cancer, it can mean:
Time together with loved ones without the distractions of daily logistics
A chance to revisit a place filled with memories or finally experience a lifelong dream
Moments of peace, joy, and normalcy during an otherwise overwhelming chapter
These experiences create space for connection, reflection, and presence. They allow people to focus on being together, not managing details. And they leave behind memories that will last forever.
Built with Care, Integrity, and Intention
From the beginning, our commitment has been to move slowly and responsibly, honoring donor trust while centering the dignity and well-being of future applicants. These first funds allow us to do just that: plan intentionally, safeguard travelers, and ensure each Travel Wish is supported with compassion and professionalism.
What’s Next
We are currently finalizing policies, partnerships, and application processes, with the hope of opening Travel Wish applications in Q1 of 2026. This next phase will mark the transition from foundation-building to direct impact, and we couldn’t be more excited (or more humbled) to take this step alongside our supporters.
To every founding donor: thank you. Your generosity didn’t just launch a campaign, it launched a mission. Because of you, hope is already in motion.
